Title: Garden Wall, La Foce Gardens, Italy 12 x 9

Description: The La Foce gardens are located in Villa La Foce in the Crete Senesi region of Tuscany near the towns of Pienza, Montepulciano and Montalcino. This was the estate of Antonio and Iris Origo. Iris Origo was an Anglo-American writer who married Antonio Origo and settled down with her husband at La Foce prior to the Second World War. She is well known for the autobiographical books she wrote of the impact the war had on that region of Tuscany. The gardens created by Iris and Antonio are beautiful. This corner, framed by wisteria and a cozy stone wall, is especially lovely.
