Title: Ancient Olive Tree 12 x 9

Description: The olive tree in this painting is well over 1,000 years old. It is in Hadrian’s Villa in Tivoli, Italy, a suburb of Rome. It was built early in the second century, A.D. by Emperor Hadrian. It was built as a retreat from Rome, but was used as his official residence beginning around 128 A.D. Hadrian governed the Roman Empire from this villa during much of his reign. The site is filled with interesting art and architecture. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The painting is framed in a beautiful mahogany finished wood frame with black accent trim. The frame is 1 1/2" wide. The painting comes ready to hang, with hanging wire attached.
