"Design and Craftsmanship in Contemporary Kilnformed Glass"
Tracy's love of design began at Architecture School at McGill. She worked as an exhibit designer at the Art Gallery of Ontario before moving to Vancouver and building custom bicycles for a decade at her shop, jett grrl bike studio. Some time spent building architectural models started her falling in love with Making things. She is self-taught as a furniture designer, cabinetmaker, carpenter,...
... and master bicycle mechanic. She moved to Quadra Island, BC in 2015 to pursue her dreams of making studio furniture, when she inadvertently fell down the kiln glass rabbit hole. She is currently addicted to fusing glass and woodworking with hand tools, with hopes to combine them into furniture in the future. She loves fine Craftsmanship, and the idea of taking something from A to Z, from the idea in her brain through to completion with her own hands. She is obsessed with precision, and is a card carrying member of Perfectionists Anonymous!
