I’m a self-taught jewelry designer with a degree in Economics from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison. I worked in corporate human resources for 33 years/ I started designing jewelry in 2008; it was my love and side hustle. In 2017, I left my HR career and devoted my full-time efforts to bobbi kahn jewelry.
I’m Barb Mason, but “bobbi kahn” is my alter ego. When I was young, I wanted to be lead singer in a band. I thought “Bobbi” was a cuter name than Barbie and I like Kahn (my mom’s maiden name) better than mine at the time (Peck). Alas, my jewelry designing skills are better than my singing skills, so my signing career never panned out. But I knew it was the perfect name form my business AND is a fun story to tell.
