This day I strapped on my backpack full of paints, grabbed my easel, and hopped on a train from where I was based 45 min away, to the beautiful town of Manarola. I made my way through the crowds of tourists admiring the town, and explored the nearby hillsides hoping to find the perfect isolated spot to paint for the day. I finally settled on this beautiful little area adjacent to a vineyard. There I was, in Cinque Terra, the light was clear and vibrant, grapes all around, and a whole afternoon in front of me to capture it in paint.
