Title: 'Cobbled Street'

Description: Limited-edition, Fine Art Color Photograph printed by artist in a traditional darkroom. I took ‘Cobbled Street’ after a brief rain early one October morning in Aix-en-Provence. The glistening cobbled street and stone sidewalk and curb afford a firm foundation for the centuries of human and animal movement along its stones. Although founded in the first or second Century, Aix did not reach its zenith until after the 12th century, when, under the houses of Barcelona/ Aragon and Anjou, it became an artistic center and seat of learning.
