Description: This newly printed photo of the Chicago Bears is framed under glass in reclaimed wood. There is a caption on the glass for a shadowbox effect. The Bears were originally called the Staleys, and were based in Decatur, IL. George Halas, pictured at center in this photo, was hired to become the manager of the team in 1920. The team was a charter member of the newly formed NFL (National Football League). In 1921, the team was moved to Chicago, and became the Chicago Staleys. In 1922, the team name was changed to the Bears.
