Title: The Tree 18 x 24

Description: Most of my landscape and architecture paintings are based on places I have visited with my wife. This is an exception. This is an imaginary place. It started with the tree based on a suggestion from my wife. The rest of the painting took shape from there. The painting has a fairy tale or surreal quality to it, allowing the viewer to imagine who might live in the house next to the tree, and who might spend time relaxing on the bench by the stream.
