I have pursued and tried to photograph these birds for many years in several locations with limited success. When I was offered an opportunity to travel to Alaska to photograph Eagles, I jumped at the chance and was greatly rewarded. Here, the eagles often congregate in large groups and are a lot less skittish than in the lower 48 states. I was easily able to get close to and photograph them without disturbing their normal behavior. After over a week spent capturing thousands of images, I was even more appreciative of these majestic birds.
