Title: "Five Gondolas"

Description: “Five Gondolas” was taken on a typical chilly, foggy, winter day in Venice. The bright tarps covering the gondola seats stand in sharp contrast to the surrounding grey water and atmosphere. We can see the island, St Giorgio Maggiore and the Church of St Giorgio Maggiore in the distance across the Grand Canal. San Giorgio is now best known for the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore, designed by Palladio and begun in 1566. Earlier, in 982, The San Giorgio Monastery was established by the Benedictine monk, Giovanni Morosini Taken with my Nikon FM2 and Kodak Negative Film.
