Title: 'Fifth Avenue in Snow'

Description: Limited-edition, Fine Art Color Photograph, printed by artist in a traditional darkroom. Only three 16x20 prints available. Taken in New York City. With the wind chill, it was below zero in New York when I took this January photograph on Fifth Avenue. I had actually envisioned an image like this one before flying to New York and was glad I had a chance to make my vision a reality. Photographing in the snow is a rare opportunity for me and one that I enjoy very much. Central Park is alongside the avenue on the right and the Plaza Hotel is just a block ahead. The image was taken about four in the afternoon when it was still light enough to see details but dark enough for the holiday decorations and the traffic and street lights to brighten up this snowy winter scene. I used my Hasselblad 500C with an80mm Planar Lens and Kodak negative film.
