Title: Crane DanceWorld Printed Only

Description: I was inspired by my late grandfather’s Chinese calligraphy of the word “ENDURANCE忍” which was manipulated in abstract strokes as the backdrop. The design concept of this artwork is to take traditional Chinese landscape painting of the Red-Crowned Crane mating dance to reflect a journey of life from Spring to Summer. At the upper left of the corner, I also integrated a famous poem by one of the most celebrated Chinese poets Wang Wei 王維 (692-761 AD) in Tang Dynasty. Excerpts of the poem in a variety of calligraphy style are integrated throughout the artwork.
