I have been taking jewelry making classes at the Chicago Botanic Garden with acclaimed jewelry designer Bonnie Arkin. As a result, I have made more jewelry than I can wear or give as gifts in my natural lifetime. I love to seek out unusual treasures and create unique, beautiful and fun jewelry. For many years, I have been the primary organizer and supporter of the Peter Hess Scholarship Fund at the Pedersen-McCormick Boys & Girls Club of Chicago that serves youth in the uptown community. Rather than continuing to plan annual fundraisers, I have decided to dedicate MaryMade Jewelry to support scholarships. Many Club members who have been leaders with academic potential, great financial need, and a history of community service have benefited from this program. There are four scholars each year and they join me in thanking you in advance for furthering their education.
