As a silk painter with over 20 years of experience, her art education lies in years of trial and error and a very active creative mind. She is self-taught. Her inspiration comes from her surroundings, her faith, and her current spot in life. She taught silk painting at Gilda’s Club, Children’s Hospital, Cancer Caring Center, Schools, women and children in shelters, gave private lessons, as well as taught ongoing lessons at an Arts Center while living in Pittsburgh. While living in Evansville, IN, She has taught at the Evansville Museum, at a Middle School, a retirement home and the Worship Arts Academy. In 2013 Evi started “Project Angel Hugs” – a silk painting session where for a small donation square scarves get painted to be donated to Chemo Patients in the area.
She has been exhibited at Sweetwater Center for the Arts in Sewickley, PA, at Krannert Hall (Fine Arts Department) of the University of Evansville, and was part of an exhibit at the CLC Campus and just recently at the Adler Center for the Arts in Libertyville.
