I'm a lifelong artist who was sidetracked with a career in psychology and higher education for most of my adult life. Now refocused on my art, I'm exploring the interplay of shadows to create form. By nature, I love to simplify complex information, and that is reflected in my paintings. By limiting the number of achromatic tones used (typically between 4 to 7 shades of grey plus white and...
...), I try to summarize an image in a concise way. This makes my paintings look highly abstract up close but realistic at a viewing distance (i.e., you may want to step back from your viewing screen to get a better idea of what one of my paintings would look like on your wall).
