Anabella Zagura started making jewelry while in graduate school. She was drawn in by the various metalsmithing techniques, by their intrinsic complexity, and what they enabled one to make. She was fortunate to learn her favorite techniques from master craft artists: anticlastic raising with Michael Good, mokume gane with Wayne Werner, stone setting with Megan Clark and with James Carter. ... also beneficiated from a full summer scholarship to study metalsmithing at the Penland School of Craft.
Anabella is currently developing her own variation on the anticlastic raising technique. She lives in NC displays her work in local galleries, and at local and national fine craft shows.
